Design validation field-testing (DVT)
DVT is the testing process performed on a live operator network to verify the design and performance of the equipment under test (EUT). Testing is conducted against the EUT user guide requirements and it can also be customised to either the network operators or manufacturers requirements. The outcome of the testing is to guarantee product quality to ensure that the product is fit for purpose from an end customers perspective.
Reliability field-testing (KPI)
The prime objective of this testing is to prove the reliability of the product and its associated software in the real world. This is achieved by verifying the stability of the software under static, dynamic, rural (non stress situation) and urban environment (stress situation) conditions. Testing can be carried out against key performance indications (KPI) to monitor the quality against previous software releases or benchmark products.
Regression testing
This is specifically targeted live network testing aimed at ensuring the product’s performance is not degraded with the introduction of new product features, functionality or product improvements. IOTAS can work with the customer in defining the testing required to ensure that the product quality and performance is maintained.
Global launch testing
A fully managed field testing solution offering advice on locations and test plans, with the ability to supply SIMS and drive routes. One dedicated point of contact when dealing with the technical and project management aspects of the project. Multiple test teams can work in parallel in a number of countries testing on various networks, delivering daily test status reports and testing progress.
