Compliance And Regulatory Services

Mandatory conformity certification, or conformance is a process through which a Product passes ensuring that is has passed performance and quality assurance tests as well as complying to the specific qualification criteria that is stipulated in applicable regulations and “certification schemes”.

IoTAS have successfully managed numerous RED approval processes and can offer full consultation delivery programming for customers wishing to achieve this regulation standard, including harmonisation management. We would also advise that if you are intending to place a new radio enabled product on the market, continuing to market an existing radio product, installing a radio module into your product, or re-branding someone else’s radio product then you should be adhering to Radio Equipment Directive.

Please read more here and get in touch if you need help with achieving product compliance.

VoLTE Testing Solutions Proving Popular

The Voice over LTE testing solutions, previously mentioned in Newsletter #14, have been received well within our market place. Compliance seems to be a bit of a theme right now and our suite of tests will ensure that your product complies with all the criteria outlined by the Global Certification Forum (GCF).

The thoroughness of the IoTAS developed VoLTE test plans, going beyond the scope of the GCF, offer customers confidence that their devices function as designed. Examples of the areas these additional tests cover are:

  • MO /MT IMS calls
  • SMS-over-IP
  • Inter-working with other IMS CNs, Circuit-switched CNs, ISDN and PSTN
  • Early Media alternative ringback tone and announcements
  • Emergency calls (live network – UK and Australia only)
  • VoLTE -> UMTS/GSM SRVCC handovers
  • VoLTE <-> CS mobility
  • VoLTE <-> VoWiFi handovers
  • VoWiFi <-> CS mobility
  • VoWiFi Access Point handling
  • Supplementary services using XCAP and SIP

Upon capturing the protocol and IMS logs the data will be analysed for test case validation, defects and performance. IoTAS engineers are ready to meet your testing needs. For more information on our VoLTE services click here.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

This month all UK/EU businesses will need to comply with the changes in regulation we would like to inform you that we will be sending out an ‘opt in’ mailer to ensure that all our EU based contacts will have clearly indicated that you wish to continue to receive our Newsletter updates.

We know that everyone is inundated with electronic mail, with a fair amount of this being unsolicited. IoTAS are committed to offering an unobtrusive and yet informative update on our activities and services and trust that you will be happy to continue to receive our communications – but the choice will be yours, so watch out for our GDPR mailer in the next few weeks (and opt in ;0).
